Report: Raiders want to extend expiring assistants through 2014

(by JoshAlper, ProFootballTalk)… A report concerning the coaches on Allen’s staff suggests that Allen will be back. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Raiders are trying to give assistants with expiring contracts, a group that includes offensive coordinator Greg Olson and defensive coordinator Jason Tarver, one-year extensions through the 2014 season. (read more)

5 Free Agents the Oakland Raiders Must Target  (by Dan Wilkins, Bleacher Report)… Although there will be some younger players available, the Raiders could not go wrong targeting a proven veteran with consistent production like that of Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. (read more)

Oakland Raiders Offseason Wish List: Darrelle Revis, could he be a trade target?  (by Brazy, Fan Side of SI.com)… The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just hired Lovie Smith and his Tampa 2 defense, to be their head coach. The corner backs in that system are generally not man to man specialists, like Darrelle Revis. Oakland Raiders Rumors: Texans Trade For Teddy Bridgewater and No. 1 Pick An Option? Cleveland Browns, Jaguars and Vikings Could Deal With Houston For Draft  (Sports World Report, Reuters)… According to ESPN.com, the Texans said that they would consider trading the number one overall pick in the draft while also still going after a quarterback and it came after the team introduced new head coach Bill O’Brien, who was hired away from Penn State for the fired Gary Kubiak.  The Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns could be teams with an interest in moving up to take someone like Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel and so could the Vikings.
